What's My Name?

Help us to resolve a friendly dispute we're having on what to call this great image Nathan took of a Pileated Woodpecker. Do you like the name:

A.  You Lookin' at Me?

or

B.  It Wasn't Me!!

or

C.  I don't like either.

Let us know you're choice by leaving a comment.  Thanks!!  :)

Nature 365 - Day 209

"Dharma Sumac" - Shot in Barrie

Day Three of the Nature 365 Challenge Week - Restricted to using the 50mm1.8 lens only.

Today went alright with using just the 50mm.  I had a good little session in the morning from which this picture was taken.  On my evening outing I was strongly considering bringing a telephoto with me "just in case" but didn't cave in.  I spent my time trying some panoramics while birds fluttered around me.  It was actually quite nice to be able to just watch the birds instead of lining them up for pictures.

Next up - Lestat's Shoot, we have some interesting ideas brewing for our nighttime shoot tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Nature 365 - Day 208

Young Mallard - Shot at Bear Creek Wetlands in Barrie

Day Two of Nature 365 Restriction Challenge- Old School Roll of Film - 24 pictures only

I headed to Bear Creek to attempt the second challenge of the week.  I picked the location based on the fact that I usually take a lot of pictures in short periods of time there.  I quickly found out that I do in fact take way too many pictures and am quick to start firing before I've had time to think about what's in front of me; must be the bird photographer in me. :)

I slowed down and waited for exact moments before taking a picture, like with the young Mallard above.  On any other day I would have taken 40-50 pictures of these guys but having the restriction, it limited me to 6 images, of which 5 turned out good!  The one thing I'll take out of this day is to ask myself "why am I taking this picture?"

Next up - Nifty Fifty Day tomorrow, many peoples most used lens, it's our least:)

Nature 365 - Day 207

"Oak Leaves"

Well the first day of the Nature 365 Challenge Week, Home Cooking,  is complete.  I spent most of the time roaming around the grounds of our condo but ended up getting this image off our balcony near sunset.  Tomorrow's restriction of only taking 24 images while being at Bear Creek Wetlands for at least two hours will be a tough one.
